Over the past 24 hours, the enemy committed three ceasefire violations, spokesman for the DPR People’s Militia Directorate Colonel Eduard Basurin reported during the briefing in Donetsk on August 4.
“On the Gorlovka front, militants from the 2nd battalion of the 24th brigade and the 137th battalion of the 35th brigade opened small arms fire at Golmovskoye and Zaytsevo. On the Mariupol front, the 1st battalion of the 53rd brigade armed attacked Novolaspa with rocket launchers,” Eduard Basurin told.
The colonel also noted that along with the shooting, the Ukrainian armed forces had violated all the range of additional measures for the enhancement and control of the ceasefire regime, which was agreed and signed by representatives of the Ukrainian party to the Contact Group.
“Over the past 24 hours, our lookouts registered seven cases of engineering works that were carried out at forward positions of the enemy. Taking advantage of the truce, militants from the 57th, 53rd, 35th brigades are reinforcing their positions in Opytnoye, Novotroitskoye, Starognatovka, Troitskoye and Shumy. At the same time, explosive devices were used in those case five times. In turn, the Ukrainian party to the JCCC, with whom we had previously agreed on the procedure for cooperation in order to prevent incitement and to establish a sustainable ceasefire, has embarked on the path of destabilization, having evaded the course of peaceful settlement of the conflict. Starting August 1, representatives of the Ukrainian party to the JCCC have been ignoring appeals of the DPR party to the JCCC within the framework of the coordination mechanism intended to respond to violations of the agreed additional measures,” Eduard Basurin said.
Meanwhile, in violation of the ceasefire order allegedly issued by the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation, the militants continue to deploy military equipment in the populated localities and their vicinity they temporarily control.
“For the past 24 hours, we tracked eight vehicles from the 35th and 36th marine brigades in Kalinovo, Ozeryanovka, Lebedinskoye and Pionerskoye In Mayorsk and Vodyanoye, we tracked anti-tank mines on public roads, planted by AFU units,” the colonel added.
