Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed forces once violated the Complex of Additional Measures for Ceasefire Control by carrying out a provocation with the use of weapons at the Donetsk front, official representative of the DPR PMD Pavel Fomenko stated at the briefing on January 11.
In violation of Clause 2 of the Additional Measures, Ukrainian militants armed with grenade launchers fired 14 rounds in the direction of Staromikhailovka from positions of the 28th AFU brigade near Krasnogorovka, and also used small arms.
In violation of Clause 3 of the Additional Measures, one armored reconnaissance patrol vehicle from the 53rd AFU separate mechanized brigade was deployed on the southern outskirts of Starognatovka.
Also, in order to prevent detection of prohibited weapons in the responsibility zones of the 28th AFU brigade, a flying squad of the 306 EW separate battalion was working in the Novomikhailovka area to jam the flight control and navigation channels of the OSCE mission’s UAV by using a Bukovel-AD station.
Since the beginning of the current 24-hour period, the enemy carried out two provocations with the use of weapons.
- At the Donetsk front, from positions of the 3rd mechanized battalion of the 72nd AFU brigade near Avdeyevka, the enemy fired three RPG rounds in the direction of Spartak.
- At the Mariupol front, militants from the 1st separate marine battalion of the 36th AFU brigade, in violation of Clause 2 of the Additional Measures, shelled the Sosnovskoye area with the use of 82mm mortars from their positions near Pavlopol, having fired 8 shells.
