Today, on February 1, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin got vaccinated with the Russian anti-coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V as part of the vaccination campaign which started in the Republic today, the press service of the Administration of the Head of the DPR reports.
Prior to the vaccination procedure, the Head of State had a medical examination and talked with journalists afterwards. Denis Pushilin noted that the vaccine is proven and effective, as evidenced by the clinical tests conducted, and, according to him, there should be no complications. The Head of the Republic emphasized that the main task is to build up a collective immunity and thus not to give the coronavirus infection any slightest chance.
“There are different opinions, positions, and for doubting citizens it is better to show by example that it is safe and necessary. It's a civic duty in the sense that you're not just thinking about yourself here, but about the safety of citizens around you. We will make sure that everyone who wants can get their dose of vaccine so that they build up a collective immunity,” Denis Pushilin said.
The leader of the country thanked the leadership of Russia and the developers of the vaccine for providing the residents of Donbass with the medication that many countries need so badly now. He once again reminded that the vaccination in the Republic will be free of charge. We remind that on February 1, 2021 the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus infection with the Russian medication Sputnik V officially started in the Donetsk People's Republic. The first batch of the vaccine arrived at the warehouse of the DPR Ministry of Health on January 30, and was then distributed among 10 vaccination rooms at primary health care centers in Donetsk. A total of 38 vaccination facilities throughout the Republic are involved in the process.
