Today, on January 22, residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic commemorate the tragic events of six years ago, when as the result of the attack from Ukraine, civilians were killed and wounded at the traffic interchange in the Bosse neighborhood, the Leninsky district of Donetsk. Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin also paid tribute to the memory and laid flowers at the scene of the tragedy, a correspondent of the Republic’s official website reports.

“One of the tragic dates for Donbass is January 22. At that time, shells were cynically and inhumanly launched from Ukraine, as the result of which civilians were killed and wounded.

These are the moments, the dates that do not allow us to forget the horrors of this war and the horrors of war crimes on the part of Ukraine.

This gets Donbass irrevocably farther and farther away from Ukraine. Such things cannot be forgotten or forgiven. It is the fates of people, the fates of loved ones, families, and just the residents of Donetsk and the Donetsk People’s Republic who cannot stay away on such dates.

May the blessed memory of the victims live forever and the relatives be stout-hearted,” Denis Pushilin said.
