In view of frequent violations of the Package of Additional Measures to Control the Ceasefire Compliance by the AFU, the authorities of the Republic established the adequate response to the armed aggression exercised by the Ukrainian militants, the press office of the DPR People’s Militia Directorate reports.

“Due to the lack of reaction from international monitors to the ongoing shelling of the Republic localities, in order to protect the population from the Ukrainian terror, the People’s Militia units were granted permission to lay down spoiling suppression fire to keep down and destroy enemy weapon emplacements.

We demand that the Ukrainian militants abandon combat provocations against our Republic aimed at disrupting the ceasefire, otherwise we reserve the right to an adequate response,” the DPR People’s Militia Directorate stated.

As previously reported, Ukrainian militants fired on populated localities on the Gorlovka and Mariupol fronts in the DPR territory in violation of the Minsk agreements and the ceasefire arrangements.
