On August 11, on the orders of Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin, head of the Gorlovka Town Administration Ivan Prikhodko handed the keys to a two-bedroom apartment over to the family of a DPR soldier. According to a correspondent of the Official Website of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the apartment was given to the family of Dmitry Alexandrov and Ekaterina Korenkova, who moved from Dzerzhinsk. Dmitry has been defending the borders of the Republic since 2014.

According to Ivan Prikhodko, the Head of the DPR respected the new owners of the apartment for the fact that they did not ask for an apartment themselves because of their modesty, it was their neighbors who turned to the Head of State.

“I am proud to hand you the keys to the apartment. I have seen your military history sheet, it has also earned the respect from the Head of the Republic. Denis Pushilin instructed that you must be granted housing and we fulfilled the order,” Ivan Prikhodko said.

“We just have no words now to describe it, we are overcome with emotion. Until the very last moment we did not believe this could happen. Thanks very much to the Head of the Republic, to the town administration, to everyone who helped us. Now we have a roof over our heads,” the new owners said.

Their apartment on the first floor of a nine-storey building has been completely renovated.

Note that Dmitry Alexandrov was seriously injured in Zaytsevo in 2019, as the result of which the middle third of the right lower leg was amputated. However, the man is still in the ranks of the DPR People’s Militia.
